As a solutions and distribution company, we have operated in the surplus market for decades - and we have established networks to find and procure surplus inventory from operators, manufacturers and stockists globally.

The rigtubulars team brings the required experience and technical knowledge of OCTG products, to identify and source suitable material, ensuring that all equipment we procure is fully inspected, traceable and complies with API standards.

We combine a portfolio of existing stock which we hold at central hubs with first class infrastructure, transport and shipping routes. Complimented by our sourcing business and new mill manufacture materials, this allows us to respond to clients with ongoing drilling programmes with a predictable pattern of OCTG requirements. 

Customers that identify the opportunity to drill a well when a rig slot becomes unexpectedly available can greatly benefit from our OCTG inventory. And customers drilling marginal wells, which are highly cost sensitive, can benefit from our OCTG surplus or existing stock.

Through our services division, rigtubulars can provide full brokering, marketing and valuation of our customer’s equipment. We ensure that we do a complete health check on the materials, by carrying out VTI, Drift, re-dope and re-fit thread protectors, checking the origin and identity of the pipes, ensuring full traceability of tube and cast number, and verifying material test certificates.

This can prove invaluable in reducing CAPEX and holding material for lengthy periods of time. Furthermore, we support our clients by identifying opportunities to sell the equipment for fair market value. All too often the surplus equipment remains in country and is forgotten about. The condition and saleability of the materials would then deteriorate over time, reducing the potential re-sale value.
